A discovery call is YOUR opportunity to tell me about the problems you’re facing in your nonprofit or in your career and see if I’m the right person to help you fix them.
Discovery calls are for:
Nonprofit executive directors, director-level or C-suite staff, CEOs, founders, or fundraising leaders considering coaching or consulting.
Nonprofit board leaders eager to strengthen their organizations with training, coaching, or consulting.
Nonprofit staff leaders with a challenge (and a budget), aspiring executive directors ready to land a dream role.
Our call won’t be a sales pitch or a free consultation. Instead, it’s a face-to-face conversation about your challenges and goals, and how we might work together.

During your call, I’ll ask you a series of questions about your challenges and goals. You’ll also get a chance to ask me anything you want about what I do, how I work, and whether my coaching and consulting services might be a good fit for you. We will discuss price, timing, scope, and anything you desire.

Picking my brains is free consulting advice. If you just want to pick my brain for an hour (or more), you can book a paid consulting call here. Free Discovery Calls are reserved for those interested in my coaching, consulting, or training services — though many people do leave Discovery Calls with fresh insights about their roles, challenges, and goals.

My time is just as valuable as yours. I’ve saved time on my calendar and it is not a great start to the relationship if you are not punctual. When you book a discovery call to talk about your coaching or consulting needs, it’s a first step in finding the right expert support. Please, honor that commitment by showing up on time.

I have not been certified by a credentialing organization. I have 30+ years of experience successfully running and leading nonprofit organizations. Certifications may lead some coaches to only use one approach with you, and I prefer to tailor my approach to your needs. Certifications do not make better coaches. Certifications are tools, not qualifications for good coaching. They are just one approach. See this page for my many positive testimonials and case studies.

Be careful of those who do! I help leaders develop the mindset, toolset, and skillset to be successful. I can promise you that if you are serious about implementing what I teach, you will see results. If your board and staff are resistant, you will not see results.
