Consulting & Coaching Details
I am The Nonprofit Fixer.™ I fix nonprofits.
The top two challenges facing nonprofits are disengaged boards and disappointing fundraising. Help is on the way. After 33+ years working in nonprofits and 5 stints as an executive director, I know what works. I have created my Nonprofit Fixer Framework that helps nonprofit leader master fundraising, boards, and leadership.
Help is here. Learn about coaching with me here. Below you will see the breakdown of consulting and coaching packages
Consulting Packages
There are three main areas of nonprofit functions:
Fundraising, Boards, and Leadership. My Nonprofit Fixer Framework helps you and your organization tackle all three areas with powerful interventions, tools, coaching, support, courses, curriculum, and 24/7 support.
Boards must address the Members of the board, the Meetings where they do their due diligence, and the Money they supervise.
Fundraising can be mastered by moving through 7 Ps. The Pitch, the Platform you’ll use to fundraise, the People you will engage, the Plan you’ll write (who does what by when), the key policies to give it all structure, the Perspective shift you need in order to love fundraising, and the Practice to get it right every time.
Leadership requires that the executive director master 10 areas of leadership. See the graphic! We also focus on how avoid common mistakes.
If you want to fix your nonprofit for good, we can use this exact framework to build a rockstar board, supercharge your fundraising and help you confidently run any nonprofit.

Board Consulting Package:
“Kick Your Board in the Butt”
(Strategy, Training, Tools, Orientation, Mindset work, Alignment)
The single biggest challenge in nonprofits isn’t fundraising, it’s low performing boards.
You deserve a board that fundraises shows up for meetings and stays in their lane.
I can help you transform your board in 90 days if they are willing. With my signature 3 M’s Board Framework, we will tackle and fix The Members of the board, the Meetings of the Board, and the Money they supervise.
What’s included in this package:
We’ll do an assessment to determine the strengths and challenges of the board.
We will then create a roadmap with goals for us to focus on for the next 6-8 months.
My 3-Part Board Framework:
The way that I work with boards is boiled down to my three-part framework. With this framework, my promise to you is that you can have a rockstar board that is engaged, raises money and stays in its lane. They just have to do the work!
90% of board function occurs in three areas. I call them the 3 M’s. The Members, The Meetings, and the Money.
The Members
Boards are made up of people. This means we must recruit, retain, and sometimes remove members. I give you the tools to do this.
You will get clearer on your values, mission, culture, and commitment
You’ll have a strategy for building your board instead of just randomly recruiting people
You’ll understand proper division of labor on the board and between the board and staff.
You’ll get tools that codify this (Job descriptions, graphics)
You’ll appreciate the value of and be able to implement a strong board orientation.
You’ll get a powerful tool that will help recruit, retain, and remove board members…all in one document.
Once the work of recruiting is done, I'll show you how to retain people forever. We’ll navigate conflict and morale. We'll get the right people in the right roles and will discuss the key elements to get people to stay. (Mission +people. Training +fun)
We will discuss rapport, having fun, and relationship-building. People come for the mission, but they stay for the relationships.
And then, because sometimes things don't work out, I'll show you how to remove board members. We'll make sure your bylaws allow you to remove dead weight. We'll use the board agreement to help low-performing board members to decide to leave on their own, freeing up room for people who want to work.
I’ll show you how training can be a retention tool. People love to learn, and it makes meetings more enjoyable.
The Meetings
I'll show you my special formula for meeting success, including using committees and board meeting agendas. We'll also tackle an overall approach to board and executive director partnership you might not have heard before.
You’ll learn how to schedule board meetings and agendas to get better engagement.
You’ll create a structure for meetings so people treat them seriously.
You'll create norms and tips for good meetings.
You’ll create and delegate to committees that make the work more manageable.
You’ll learn how to engage the executive director in board meetings so everyone feels great and valued.
You’ll learn how to evaluate all of this.
The Money
Boards are responsible for passing a budget and resourcing that budget while also providing due diligence.
You’ll learn your legal and moral obligations to the public, the government, and your stakeholders.
You’ll learn best practices for passing a budget.
You’ll learn how to supervise the financials measured against that budget.
And most of all, you’ll learn the board’s role in fundraising and get a suite of tools to help your board fundraise. (Policies, structures, tools, templates, and training).
You will have confidence and a road map by the time we're done working together. I will make this easy for you. You need to have a strategy, high standards for your board, and a proper division of labor so that your board stays in its lane.
You should take action today by booking “The Kick My Board in the Butt” package, so you stop spinning your wheels and using the same resources you have now. You need expert help to transform your board into the team you need to reach your mission and grow.
